What is a Quince?
A quince is a hard yellow fruit, roughly the size of a large apple. It is somewhat bumpy and too hard to be eaten raw. Quinces can be boiled and sweetened to make jams or candies, and are used in perfumes and soaps. The quince plant is a bushy, gnarly tree that is known for its hardiness.
